Private Suites at Union Station

Grand Hall Suites · Designed by Kelly Edmister

Seville Home designer, Kelly Edmister, recently designed the luxury private suites just off the Grand Hall at Union Station in downtown Kansas City, one of the region’s most iconic and sought-after event venues. The suites are located adjacent to the newly renovated bathrooms, creating a comfortable and well-appointed space for guests to gather, prepare, and relax before special events. From weddings and galas to private celebrations and performances, the suites offer an elegant setting where meaningful moments unfold behind the scenes.

The design emphasizes:

  • Comfortable seating for groups and gatherings
  • Thoughtful layouts for preparation and relaxation
  • Furnishings that balance beauty with durability for event spaces
  • An atmosphere that complements the historic elegance of Union Station

The result is a refined and welcoming environment that supports memorable experiences within one of Kansas City’s most celebrated landmarks.

Design Inspiration

Kelly approached the design with deep respect for the history of Union Station, originally built in 1914. Her intention was to create spaces that feel classic, timeless, and comfortable, reflecting the era and architectural character of the building while still serving the needs of modern events. By selecting furnishings and materials that feel warm, elegant, and enduring, the suites complement the grandeur of the Grand Hall while offering guests a relaxed, inviting environment to gather and prepare before special occasions.
